In fact, the opposite: The natural law is that everything ends. We do so many contortions to keep things alive when efforts would often be better spent on something else. This applies to products, services, companies, government agencies, and relationships of many kinds (not all).

What if most of these things had a built in expiration date? It could be extended, but the default is it ends unless renewed?
